HOW IT ALL STARTED

Nature Buff makes sustainable hygiene products for people who’d rather be outside.

We’re a small, independent company on a mission to make adventuring a little cleaner — for you and the planet. It all started when our founder, Max, got fed up with outdoor hygiene products that were wasteful, overdesigned, or just didn’t work. So he made something better.

From compostable Buff Wipes to biodegradable bar soap, everything we make is built to perform in the wild without harming the places we love. No gimmicks. No greenwashing. Just clean, simple tools for dirty humans.

Meet Our Team

Max Velinsky

Founder & CEO
Max started Nature Buff after one too many camping trips with zero good hygiene options. A lifelong outdoor enthusiast, he built Nature Buff from the ground up — testing wipes in the wild, sewing soap in his kitchen, and staying obsessed with making sustainability simple and effective. He’s happiest with his family and on a surfboard.

Ian Kibbe

Creative Director
Ian came for the soap, stayed for the mission. He’s a filmmaker, writer, and professional dirt enthusiast with a deep love for nature and a love of storytelling. Ian and Max met years ago working in action sports, and now team up to keep Nature Buff scrappy, smart, and smelling great.
